OUR CORE VALUES

Waukesha Bible Church is a Christ-Exalting, Word-Centered, Grace-Based , Global-Impacting Fellowship.

OUR VISION

"They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:9).

OUR MISSION

18 And Jesus came and said to them, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20).

WHAT WE BELIEVE

The Holy Scriptures:
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, infallible when properly handled, and the final authority for faith and life. (Luke 24:44, 45; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:15-17; 2 Pet. 1:20-21)

The Godhead:
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit - co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deut. 6:4; Matt. 28:19; 1 Cor. 12:4-6; 2 Cor. 13:14; Eph. 2:18)

Jesus: We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ ascended to heaven, and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. (John 1:1-2, 14; Luke 1:34-35; Matt. 1:21; Gal. 4:4-5; Acts 1:9-10; Col. 3:1; Heb. 2:17-18; 4:14-16; 7:25; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2; 1 Tim. 2:5)

The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and, that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, indwelling and abiding in them individually and corporately, sovereignly bestowing all spiritual gifts for the good of the Church, and sealing all believers unto the day of redemption. (John 16:8-11; Titus 3:5; Rom. 8:9; Phil. 1:6; 1 Thess. 5:23-24)

The Sin of Humanity:
We believe humanity was created in the image and likeness of God, but that in Adam's sin humanity fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and, that humanity is in complete rebellion against God, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Gen. 1:26-27; Rom. 5:12; Eph. 2:11-18; Rom. 3:10-18; Eph. 2:1-3)

Salvation: We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, by perfectly fulfilling the Law, accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice; and He made the forgiveness of our sins sure by His physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that salvation (justification, sanctification, and glorification) is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Matt. 1:21; Gal. 4:4-5; Rom. 3:24-25; 4:25 1 Pet. 1:3-5; Eph. 2:8-10; John 1:12)

The Church: We believe the church is the body and the espoused bride of Christ, and is represented through the gathering of local churches, with Christ as the head. We believe the Church has been tasked with the ministry of reconciliation to proclaim the Gospel, both near and far, for the gathering and perfecting of the saints in this present age. (1 Cor. 12:12-14; 2 Cor. 11:2; Eph. 1:22-23, 5:25-27 2 Cor. 5:18, 19; Matt. 28:18-20; Eph. 4:11-16)

The Personality of Satan:
We believe Satan is a person, the first to fall; that he is the open and declared enemy of God and man; that he was judicially defeated at Christ's death and resurrection and, that he shall be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire. (Job 1:6-7; Isa. 14:12-17; Col. 2:15; Heb. 2:14; Rev. 20:10)

The Coming of Christ:
We believe Jesus will come again to judge the living and the dead at which time the last enemy, death will be defeated. At that time, He will turn everything over to the Father so that "God will be all in all." (Acts 10:42; 2 Tim. 4:1; 1 Cor. 15:26; 1 Cor. 15:28)

The Eternal State: We believe in the bodily resurrection of all humanity, the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to everlasting punishment. (Matt. 13:40-42; 25:41-46; John 5:28-29; 2 Cor. 5:8; 1 Thess. 4:16-17)

Credo:
Within a family, members of that family share similar traits and characteristics since they share common DNA. However no two siblings (unless identical twins) share identical DNA. There are nuances that make each person unique. We celebrate what we are as a local church and as part of one global church family, as well as what we are as an individual personality within this one family. The booklet "Credo" will help you understand our theological DNA more precisely. Some of our DNA we hold in common with all Evangelical Christians. Nevertheless, there are things about us that make us uniquely us, even within the larger context of what makes us Christians.
