Christ Has Set Us Free!

Sept 13, 2014

The Work Has Been Done - Come Bask in the Reigning Grace of God
Come and discover how Jesus Christ is enough in this life and in the life to come. Our speakers will illustrate how nothing and no one can be for us what we are in Him. You will taste and see how He is the God of all grace and great mercy and how the overflow sets His people free from sin and death both in this life and in the life to come.

We will explore the truth that our identity comes from the merit of God's Son and is not determined by our activity or ability. It has already been acquired and is already ours. And nothing can alter His opinion of us or His dealings with us.

We will learn to trust and rest in Christ's provision. Oftentimes we forget to do this and exhaustively fall into self-effort. We can default to the habits of asking for more forgiveness, more redemption, more righteousness, and more sanctification. We will discuss how this has already been done for us, and that living in faith in what He has done pleases Him.

Keynote Description

God has written an incredible Story. It arrests the affections and pushes one's passions for what is truly breathtaking. It is a Story of beauty, fall, love and rescue. The entire text of the Bible speaks to this Story. There are nine single words that every Christian should understand. These words unleash the power of the cross to move individuals and set enslaved minds free. Our keynote sessions will mark and celebrate each of the nine words. Then, our breakout studies will explain the implications of this freedom in four key areas: Family Life, Fellowship with God, Living in a Fallen World, and Freedom Following Jesus.

Part-1 Part-2

He has also served as a Christian school principal in the Waukesha area, as well as working in urban youth ministry for a number of years. Greg is passionate about the gospel, and loves teaching identity truths to believers, helping them understand who they are in Christ. He loves spending as much time as possible with Eileen, his wife of 14 years.

Jason Thompson
Jason Thompson is married to Angela Thompson, his beautiful bride of six years. When he met her he was love-struck and has not recovered since. They are the blessed parents of Joshua, Sarah, and Grace. Jason serves at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission where he has worked in various capacities since 2002. Through his ministry at MRM, he enjoys counseling, sharing the gospel, and being used of God to help men understand the gospel more clearly and how it speaks over their lives and into their lives. In 2008, God brought Greg Neu into Jason's life and used him greatly to help Jason appreciate Reformed Theology and how the doctrine of grace meets us "where we live". In 2010, eleven years after his conversion, The Lord engineered a grace intervention and while Jason was sitting at his kitchen table in the fall of that same year reading Romans 5, verses 18 - 19 came alive in such a way that redemptively crippled him and gave him a "Jacob-bruise" from which he joyfully still suffers to this day.
