Grace and Freedom yours "In Christ"

If you have not yet trusted in the person and work of Christ to save you from sin and death, then please read The Gospel in a Nutshell first.

If you do believe that Jesus died and rose again to save you from sin and death and secure for you eternal life, then know that you are free! Being a Christian is not about living according to a list of do's and don'ts. It is a life of grace and freedom. Yet, it is so easy to forget that we are saved by grace and revert back to thinking we somehow have to earn our keep by submitting to a slew of rules. Nothing could be further from the truth.

"For Freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery" (Galatians 5:1).

We received Christ by grace through faith, and we live our Christian life by grace through faith.

"Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving" (Colossians 2:6, 7).

As a consequence of our relationship with Christ, good works follow. However, those good works never earn us favor with God. They are the natural outworking of His Spirit working in us and through us to those around us.

As a fellowship of believers, we celebrate the freedom we have in Christ. We do not live in fear of God's judgment. It was paid for in full at the cross. Our "vertical" relationship with God is secure. The commands of Scripture are carried out on the "horizontal" in relationship with others as a fruit of the Jesus seed. Our performance in these areas never alter our relationship with God on the vertical, positively or negatively. Both justification and sanctification are all of God.

This is what God did and does. Therefore, this is who we are. If this truth resonates with you,we invite you to be part of this joy-filled, grace-saturated, freedom-celebrating fellowship.
